Jason Kelce Opens Doors to His ‘Cozy and Comfortable’ House Where He Spends Time with Family

In a move that marks the end of an era, Jason Kelce, 36, emotionally announced his retirement from the National Football League after 13 years on March 4, 2024, during a press conference.

The prolific sports star first launched his pro football career in 2011 with the Philadelphia Eagles and has played for the team ever since. He was a sixth-round pick for the team, becoming a starter right away.

Jason won the job in camp during a season that had no offseason workouts because of the lockout. The Ohio native has since become a six-time first-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowler, and as such, is slated to win bronze in Canton.

Overall, Jason, the older brother of Travis Kelce, whose relationship with Taylor Swift hogged headlines of late, has 193 regular-season appearances under his belt, all starts.

The sportsman is a former member of the Super Bowl LII-winning Eagles, and will forever be remembered for his memorable speech at the championship rally.

Jason\’s journey in football was filled with passion and dedication. \”I love football. Whether it was in my backyard with my brother, on the playground with my friends, or lighting up Friday nights at Cleveland Heights High School. I loved everything about it,\” he shared during his retirement speech.

The NFL star previously expressed how he would go about announcing his exit from the football profession. \”When it\’s time to officially announce what\’s happening in the future, it\’ll be done in a way that\’s definitive and pays respect to a lot of people and individuals that have meant a lot to me and what has led to the career I\’ve had,\” Jason stated in January 2024.

His thoughts on retirement date back to a year ago, when he generally addressed it in his Amazon documentary titled \”Kelce\” based on his 2022-23 season.

\”It\’s getting harder and harder to stay healthy,\” Jason admitted. In the same documentary, his wife Kylie Kelce expressed her desire for him to retire while still able to enjoy quality time with their children.

A day after her famous husband announced that he would be bowing out of his sporting career, Kylie also spoke candidly about how far he had come in writing his speech.

She had heard it before he publicly delivered it and commented, \”[…] I think it was just a perfect summary of 13 years. It was an incredible run he had as a player in the NFL.”

According to Kylie, her spouse worked on the speech for several years. \”I\’ve heard multiple versions over the last four years. This was a completely different version. I think every year he sort of started from scratch as to what was sitting on the surface,\” she said.

During an interview, Kylie also reminisced about the couple\’s journey together, from their memorable first meeting at an Eagles Christmas party to the powerful emotions elicited by Jason\’s retirement speech.
